Reverend Warren G. Marten

Reverend Warren G. Martens served as Pastor at Federated Church of Kerhonkson from 1990-1996.

 

He received degrees from Central College in Pella, Iowa, and New Brunswick Theological Seminary in New Brunswick, NJ, he was ordained by the Classis of Orange of New York in 1955. While attending seminary he did pastoral clinical training, under the auspices of The City of New York, in Independence, Iowa, Philadelphia, PA, and The City of New York. He served as Pastor in other churches such as Callicoon Center NY, Youngsville NY, Levittown Community Church in Levittown NY, Pequannock Reformed Church in Wayne NJ, and Clarkstown Reformed Church in West Nyack NY all before serving FCK where he retired.

 

Our church honors and remembers Reverend Warren G. Martens for the 10 years he served as Lieutentant-Commander of the Chaplain Corps of the U.S. Naval Reserve, support of the Boy and Cub Scouts of America as a Life Scout and various titles held serving as a volunteer, and will be forever known for his dedication to serve the greater good in all he did.

Reverend Juanita Valyou Middlebrook

Reverend Juanita Valyou Middlebrook served as Pastor at Federated Church of Kerhonkson from 1983-1989.

 

She pursued her calling to ministry back in 1978 to later obtain her Bachelor’s Degree at the College of New Rochelle and Master of Divinity from the Drew University Theological School. She was ordained deacon in 1982 and achieved full membership in the NY Conference in 1985. In addition to FCK she served her missionary in Goshen, New Beginnings Ministries, Bay Shore Interim, Pine Plains, and Hillsdale churches in New York.

 

Our church honors and remembers Reverend Jaunita Valyou Middlebrook for the compassion she exhibited in the pediatric department of Sharon Clinic and will be forever remembered how she inspired everyone she met.
